Vans is in the middle of a significant brand evolution. As the company expands beyond its skateboarding roots and reaches a broader audience, its retail environments are evolving alongside it. Every new location represents an opportunity to introduce customers to the next chapter of the brand while staying true to the authenticity that made Vans iconic in the first place.
That was the backdrop when Vans approached Lotus United with an ambitious objective: introduce a new store design direction across seven locations and bring all of them to market within a single retail window.
The new design language was more refined and elevated while remaining true to the authenticity that built the brand's following. Warm plywood wall panels, black metal fixtures, terrazzo flooring, and skateboard deck displays created environments that felt both familiar and forward-looking.
Working from Vans' established creative direction, Lotus United developed a fully resolved, buildable retail program, finalizing materials, resolving construction details, and ensuring every design decision could be executed consistently across all seven locations, moving into fabrication quickly and without disruption.
Launching seven locations within the same retail window requires a level of coordination that goes well beyond standard fabrication. Working from a finalized fixture program, Lotus United fabricated and delivered a complete package for each store, including:
Lotus United managed storage, packout, and freight coordination to each of the seven locations, ensuring every store received a consistent, complete package on schedule within an eight-week production window.
What began as a seven-store rollout across five states grew into an eight-location partnership, with the addition of Disney Springs in Buena Vista, FL in June 2026.
