We are a collaborative, dynamic group that values curiosity, problem solving, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. As a Junior Designer, you will contribute to meaningful work while developing your skills within a fast-paced, design-driven environment.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a Junior Designer to support the design and execution of retail environments, fixtures, and branded experiences. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow within a collaborative studio and gain exposure to projects from concept development through production and installation
This is a hands-on, production-focused role. You will work closely with senior design leadership to translate concepts into clear visualizations and documentation that support internal teams, clients, and production partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Support & Visualization
• Support the development of retail environments, fixtures, and spatial concepts
• Produce 3D models and renderings in SketchUp to communicate design intent
• Assist in creating presentation materials including decks, mood boards, and visual assets
• Execute design revisions and iterations based on internal and client feedback
Documentation & Production
• Assist in translating design concepts into technical drawings using SketchUp Layout
• Support drawing updates, redlines, and coordination across project phases
• Prepare production-ready files that clearly communicate design intent to internal teams and external partners
• Maintain organized project files, assets, and version control across active projects
Collaboration
• Work closely with senior designers, account team members, and production partners
• Support coordination with external vendors and fabrication partners as needed
• Contribute to internal design discussions and creative problem solving
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in retail, interior, environmental, or experiential design, including internships or professional experience
• Proficiency in SketchUp and Layout is required
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Comfort using AI tools to support ideation, exploration, and workflow efficiency
• Basic understanding of architectural drawings, spatial design principles, and the relationship between design and constructability
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate design intent through plans, elevations, and detail drawings
• Basic understanding of merchandising needs within a retail environment
• Strong visual communication skills with attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple projects
• Experience with rendering tools such as Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, or Twinmotion is a plus
• Familiarity with retail environments, materials, and fabrication methods is a plus
• Exposure to project workflows from concept through production is preferred
• Interest in learning and applying AI-supported tools and emerging technologies to enhance workflow efficiency, design exploration, and communication
PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT
A portfolio is required and should demonstrate 3D modeling, renderings, and examples of design thinking. Process work and how ideas are developed is strongly encouraged.
REMOTE WORK
This is a remote position. Candidates must reside within the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones and be available during core business hours. Occasional travel for client meetings or team gatherings may be required.
