We partnered with Dive Bomb Industries to upgrade their retail presence with a brand new 7,000 sq. ft. flagship store. Founded in 2011, the waterfowl hunting and outdoor gear company had built strong brand loyalty and a dedicated following, primarily through digital channels. The challenge was translating that authentic brand story into their new retail location—creating an environment that honors the hunting community with premium, durable gear.
The design process began with establishing the "modern marksman" theme that would define the entire brand experience. Our mood board captured weathered wood textures, tactical gear patterns, golden hour waterfowl hunts, and premium retail environments—bridging authentic field experiences with heritage craftsmanship.
The design process moved from concept to reality through detailed 3D renderings that allowed us to test every element before construction. These visualizations helped refine the customer journey and ensure each design decision supported both the brand story and operational needs.
Strategic Zone Planning The space is organized into 12 distinct zones, each designed around typical customer shopping behaviors. Rather than leading with product, we created a hospitality-focused lounge area at entry—a space that functions as both brand differentiator and natural gathering point.
The Central Experience Ring At the store's heart sits a dramatic circular centerpiece wrapped with custom waterfowl imagery. This focal point drives traffic deeper into the 7,000 sq. ft. space while creating immediate emotional connection and ensuring visibility from every corner of the store.
Flexible Product Zones The modular fixture system allows quick reconfiguration as inventory shifts seasonally. Mobile display units and adaptable hanging systems mean the team can transform the space from duck season to deer season without major renovation. Each zone is clearly defined with wood headers and category signage, creating intuitive navigation.
Once the designs were approved and feedback integrated, we moved into engineering and production. We fabricated every custom element in-house, precision-welding steel frames for the modular fixture systems and powder-coating each surface to withstand retail demands while maintaining the premium feel customers expect.
The finished fixtures include mobile merchandising units, custom mannequin platforms, modular storage cabinets, freestanding garment racks, and display cases with integrated shelving. Each piece works independently or as part of the larger system, providing maximum flexibility for seasonal changes.
The completed store made its debut during SquadFest, Dive Bomb Industries' annual celebration in Hazelwood, MO that doubled as the grand opening for their new flagship location.
The event drew thousands of hunting enthusiasts from across the country and put our design to the ultimate test. Our custom fixtures supported everything from tactical bags to extensive decoy displays, while the crowd naturally flowed through the 12-zone layout, validating the strategic placement of products and intuitive navigation we built into the space.
Growth demands more than just bigger square footage—it requires thoughtful design that supports both your brand story and business operations. From concept to custom fabrication, we partner with expanding brands to create flagship experiences that drive customer loyalty and accommodate operational needs.
